Canadian actor and self-taught dancer Lamar Johnson, who starred as West in Family Channel's hit dance series The Next Step and was cast at age nine to play Little Man in the feature film Honey, starring Jessica Alba, is set to step into the world of X-Men after signing on for a mystery role in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

With the release of the Marvel film in November next year, 2018 looks to be a banner year for the 23 year old, who was also recently announced as one of the stars of George Tillman Jr’s upcoming film, The Hate U Give, Fox 2000's adaptation of the Black Live Matter YA novel of the same name.
